Gaia Message 2/23/09

Education! Teach people to see, hear, notice Nature. To appreciate the beauty, perfection and complexity. To understand how to communicate and to instill a desire to connect on a regular basis, in a conscious way.

Provide opportunities to experience connection in a fun and interesting atmosphere. Help people find their specialty (some work well with crystals, some with trees, etc.) and most effective mode of communication (journalling, meditating, etc.).

Offer an interpretive service for individuals or businesses who seek to interact with Nature, but who cannot do so yet for themselves

NOTE: Classes are being set up and will be posted shortly. In addition, a classified ad in the March 09 Orlando Natural Awakenings has been placed for 'Planetary Interpreters' services. If you are interested in receiving more information on these classes, workshops or services, please drop a line!

  1. It has been two years since my Grandmother has physically been with me. Her death was the first time I publicly used crystals in healing.
This is the last part of what I said at her service.

…. "And so, in the last hours, Grandma had no more words. But I knew her angles were there to guide her. We talked about this several times in the previous months and invited their help.
In the quiet hours before twilights golden rays, comes a peace in knowing the spirit you are. I believe Grandma knew with in her faith, who she is and that death does not imply failure, but healing.
I know the ancestors that were my guide. I am centered... with this new chapter.
Smoky quarts, eagle feathers in a horsehair vase, and an Indian medicine pouch were in her open window. Grandma's sister Kay was the wife of Emerson Metoxen, full-blooded Iroquois Indian of The Oneida Tribe. I had all my tumbled stones in a beautiful dark wood box. In the lid with full headdress, is a photo of him. White sage, lavender, and mint were bedside with Danbrite, Celestite, Clear quartz (pillar & tumbled) on a black velvet cloth. She held the Danbrite most of the night. At death, I placed the Celistite at the top of her head and the Quartz Golden Healer at her solar plexus".

I've since realized there are many ways to heal and if source or spirit choose to work through you, there comes with it a wisdom the ego can’t comprehend. It just is.

    The state of Grace
    Needs the recipient
    In order to be complete.

You are held in the hand of God
    And totally loved.
    And when that love can
    Be received
    The circuit is completed.

In recent meditation my Grandmother was with me and reminded me of a Hawaiian name she gave me. Lehua… I shuffled my Hawaiian Mana cards and pulled, you guessed it, the Lehua card.
    It reads:
Lehua is associated with birth and death, attraction, and expertise. An expert is one who has developed the ability to draw upon his or her inner resources to accomplish amazing feats, usually as the result of a process of initiation. Initiation may come in many forms, such as proving your ability in battle, in the mastery of a skill such as fishing or canoeing, in an art form such as hula, or in a subject such as medicine. Initiation may also come as the result of the ending of one stage of life and the beginning of another. As you undergo initiation, it is common to experience anxiety (“Perhaps I am not out of the woods yet” and “ it’s too soon to gather the flowers”). Remember that initiation comes only after much preparation, practice, and discipline, and only when you are ready. As you complete your initiation, be sure to see yourself as you are, not as you were. Be patient with those who are undergoing an initiation process, including yourself. Hawaiian wisdom tells us that it is gentleness that brings forth much of what is desired. As you undergo initiation, you begin to build competence and confidence. Ignore those voices from behind, the ones that try to convince you to see yourself as you were, rather than as your are. You are prepared. Go forward and do not look back! Eventually, you will make the transition from the initiate to the initiator. An initiator is one who is responsible for teaching others. As you undergo transition, give thanks to your teachers, and their wisdom will continue to spring forth as you blossom.
